The Friends of the Galway Public Library is sponsoring a fundraiser Thursday, April 3, 2014.

Enjoy your dinner at the Recovery Sports Grill at 5005 State Highway 30 in Amsterdam between 5 and 9 p.m. and 15% of your total bill will be donated to the Friends of the Galway Public Library (FOGPL). No extra cost to you. The Recovery Sports Grill donates from its profits.

You need to get a “Certificate” that you will present when you order your meal on April 3. The “Certificate” is what triggers the donation from the restaurant. You’ll need one printed Certificate per bill paid at the restaurant.

Then, when you enjoy your dinner at the Recovery Sports Grill, present the Certificate when you pay for your meal. That’s it!! You pay the bill and the Recovery Sports Grill donates 15% to the FOGPL from its profits – no charge to you!! You can get a Certificate in a few ways:

– Click “Certificate Link” at the end of this sentence to open a new window with 4 Certificates; then print them from that new window.   CERTIFICATE_LINK

– You can get one or more Certificates at the Galway Public Library

The Recovery Sports Grill is a short early-spring drive from Galway and a wonderful way for you to support the FOGPL and enjoy a meal as well. There are no “special tables”, just have a meal between 5 and 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 3!

The annual BIG book sale took place Monday, May 27, 2013 (Memorial Day) in the Galway Village Park, and it was a fabulous success. Thank you to everyone who came out and bought books and media, and to the Friends Volunteers who moved books, set up the tent, and manned the sales table. A special thanks to the volunteers (Leos and others) who moved books on Sunday and Monday and carried the tent to the library after the sale.
